Attending an industry conference for the first time can be a bit daunting. That’s why ITM has arranged special sessions to help first-timers to get the most out of the event.
On the evening of Tuesday 15th April, a special first timers’ reception will enable you to meet one another, the ITM board and some of our key sponsors.
Next morning, two sessions will provide a detailed preview of the conference programme, explain how the sessions will work and help you to plan your stay effectively.
120 delegates attended their first ITM conference in 2007, with 85% pledging to return in 2008. Here’s what just two of them had to say about the event.
“As a first timer buyer attendee at an industry conference like this it can be daunting, fortunately I wasn’t alone and I quickly got to know others. I took away loads from the event to help me develop my skills and our company strategy towards managing business travel plus I had a great time too.”

'The ITM 2007 conference in Edinburgh was extremely useful from so many perspectives - a great opportunity to network with industry experts, a chance to gather vast amounts of knowledge and very thought provoking. As this was my first time at conference, with also being new to the travel industry, I would have found it extremely useful to have a day tailored to first time attendees. I'm glad ITM has created an evening and morning for first timers for 2008 as this will enable newcomers to speak to those in a similar situation to themselves'
